International Women’s Day is celebrated with recognitions in Batey 22 of Guaymate

Guaymate, La Romana. – The Social Promotions program of Central Romana celebrated International Women’s Day with special recognition to a group of laborious female workers of the community in Batey 22 of the Guaymate division.

During the celebration all the women participated in the activities program, sharing anecdotes, singing and enjoying with laughter the commemoration of March 8th outside of the daily work routine. During the afternoon, medals were given as a recognition for their efforts both in the field of work and as important family figures within their homes and communities.

Also an informative chat session was held with a specialized psychologist that spoke about gender based violence, a very important subject to caught the attention of all present.
