YOUTH FROM AGRICULTURAL DIVISIONS PARTICIPATE IN EXCITING BASEBALL TOURNAMENT

The tournament reaffirms Central Romana’s commitment to the comprehensive development of children and youth in its communities.

Central Romana Corporation successfully celebrated the Final Series of the Interdivisional Little League Baseball Tournament, an event that brought together young talents from the company’s seven agricultural divisions: Lechugas, Higüeral, Guaymate, La Higuera, Chavón Abajo, Magdalena, and Baiguá.

The tournament, organized by the Department of Sports Activities, reaffirms Central Romana’s commitment to the comprehensive development of children and youth in its agricultural communities, using sports as a formative tool.

Results by Category

11-12 Year Category

Competition in this category was characterized by games filled with energy and sporting spirit. Chavón started strong by winning the first game with a score of 23 to 20 against Guaymate. However, the Guaymate team demonstrated their recovery capacity and determination by prevailing in the following two games with results of 6 to 3 and 19 to 7, thus securing the championship in their category.

13-14 Year Category

In this division, Chavón and Higüeral featured in a closely contested series that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. Higüeral took an early advantage by winning the first game 4 to 2, but Chavón achieved an impressive comeback with consecutive victories of 3 to 2 and 6 to 0 in the subsequent games, crowning themselves champions of their category.
