Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Association of Ceb\u00fa Breeders (ASOCEBU) paid tribute to doctor Enrique H. Dom\u00ednguez Dom\u00ednguez, Assistant Vice President and head of veterinary medicine in the livestock department of Central Romana Corporation, for his contributions to the genetic development of in vitro cattle reproduction.<\/p>\n
Recognition of Dr. Dominguez’s achievements took place in the Auction Hall of the Farmer’s National Fair in Santo Domingo, as part of the activities that were carried out during its program.<\/p>\n
A commemorative plaque was given to Dr. Dom\u00ednguez by Marcelino Vargas, President of the Board of Trustees, and Jos\u00e9 Manuel Mall\u00e9n. President of ASOCEBU, who were accompanied by other executives and cattle producers.<\/p>\n
“We recognize Dr. Enrique for his life paths and meritorious work in developing and scientifically improving breeds of livestock in the Dominican Republic. We consider his figure legendary within the veterinary community of our country” said Marcelino Vargas.<\/p>\n
On his behalf Dr. Enrique Dom\u00ednguez saluted and appreciated the distinction which was awarded to him by fellow ranchers. “It is an honor for me to receive this recognition. I have devoted 57 years to a profession that I love, and still feel today that I have much to contribute”, he emphasized.<\/p>\n
Enrique Dom\u00ednguez Dom\u00ednguez was established in the Dominican Republic from Spain in 1959, and after working for a short period for the dominican government he joined the livestock department of Central Romana Corporation, the largest cattle breeder in the country, company in which still exercises professionally.<\/p>\n
His extensive knowledge of veterinary in vitro fertilization has enabled to carry out research in creating new cattle breeds, such as the renowned Romana Red and most recently the Romalin breed, both developed exclusively by Central Romana.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
