La Romana<\/strong> \u2013 Dr. Jos\u00e9 L\u00f3pez Larache, Vice President of Health and Medical Director at Central Romana Corporation, emphasized the importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a key tool in the modernization of healthcare services in the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n

During his remarks at the 5th edition of the Global Forum, Dr. L\u00f3pez Larache noted that the integration of AI systems into medical equipment has led to significant improvements in diagnostic accuracy and clinical efficiency. \u201cThanks to these technologies, we have managed to reduce diagnostic errors by up to 22%<\/a>, delivering more accurate and timely results,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

The event was chaired by Dr. Leonel Fern\u00e1ndez, former President of the Dominican Republic and President of Funglode, along with Dr. Leo Matos Garc\u00eda, Executive Vice President of Central Romana, the host company of the event.<\/p>\n

Central Romana Medical Center, together with other private healthcare institutions such as Cl\u00ednica Abreu, HOMS, and Centro M\u00e9dico Express, has made significant investments in cutting-edge technology to enhance the quality of care. \u201cArtificial Intelligence does not replace physicians \u2014 it empowers them. It enables us to make safer decisions, manage chronic diseases more effectively, and promote telemedicine in remote communities,\u201d L\u00f3pez Larache explained.<\/p>\n

Dr. V\u00edctor Matos, from Santo Domingo Wellness Center, agreed that AI has transformed areas such as radiology, oncology, dermatology, functional medicine, and anti-aging care. In addition to anticipating risk indicators, these technological solutions allow doctors to focus more on the human side of patient care by reducing administrative burdens.<\/p>\n
