VICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES AT CENTRAL ROMANA PASSES AWAY
Central Romana Corporation announces with deep regret the sudden passing of Mr. Eladio Uribe, who served as Vice President of Human Resources for the company. Uribe was 73 years old.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends, as well as to the entire team of collaborators who worked under his leadership in human resource management.
A native of the province of Barahona, Uribe was, in his youth, an active member of the University Cultural Movement (MCU) and of the University Rondalla of the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo. He held a degree in Business Administration and a master’s in Senior Management from the University of Quebec in Montreal, Canada.
He dedicated much of his time to teaching as a professor and lecturer on human resources topics, both locally and in various Latin American countries. He was also the author of books on personal growth and reflections on life.
His long and distinguished professional career leaves behind a legacy of solidarity and dedication. “For nearly 25 years at Central Romana, his vision for teamwork and his gift for connecting with people positively transformed the company’s workplace culture,” the corporation highlighted in its statement.
He held important positions in various organizations within the Dominican business sector, including Vice President of the Employers’ Confederation of the Dominican Republic (COPARDOM); member of the Technical Commission for the Educational Reform of the National Police in the Dominican Republic; former President of the Inter-American Federation of Human Resource Management Associations (FIDAGH) and of the Dominican Association of Human Resource Management Administrators (ADOARH), among other private organizations.
The family will announce in due course the details of the arrangements for the funeral services.
