CENTRAL ROMANA COMMEMORATES WOMEN’S MONTH WITH EMPOWERMENT EVENT
A total of 62 female employees participated in activities focused on gender violence prevention and emotional well-being.
In celebration of Women’s Month, Central Romana Corporation organized a significant event dedicated to recognizing and strengthening the role of women in its agricultural communities, reaffirming its commitment to gender equity and the comprehensive development of its female employees.
The event, which brought together 62 women from different areas of the company, included an important talk on gender violence prevention delivered by Patricia Martínez, a specialist in women’s rights, as well as artistic activities focused on personal expression and emotional well-being.
Recognition of Community Leaders
As part of the celebration, Central Romana gave special recognition to six outstanding women for their invaluable contribution to the development of the sugarcane community where they reside. These leaders were selected for their dedication, social commitment, and ability to generate positive changes in their environments.
“These women exemplify the values we want to promote in all our communities: solidarity, perseverance, and transformative leadership,” highlighted the representative from the Community Relations Department during the recognition ceremony.
Comprehensive Development and Artistic Expression
The event also included an artistic expression workshop that provided participants with tools to channel emotions and strengthen their psychological well-being. This activity, led by specialists in art therapy, allowed female employees to explore new forms of communication and self-knowledge.
“At Central Romana, we are committed to creating spaces that promote not only the professional development of our female colleagues but also their personal and emotional growth,” stated the Human Resources Department.
Ongoing Commitment to Equity
This celebration is part of a series of initiatives that Central Romana implements throughout the year to promote gender equity and female empowerment at all levels of the organization and its communities of influence.
“We will continue working to expand opportunities for female participation in all areas of our company, recognizing that diversity and inclusion are fundamental pillars for our sustainable growth,” concluded the Human Resources Division.
