Prácticamente en todos los bateyes del Central se han construido facilidades deportivas para el sano recreo de los empleados, donde se practican el baloncesto, el béisbol y otros.Otra contribución importante al deporte ha sido el boxeo. Bastaría destacar que en la década de 1980, la empresa se encargó de la preparación física y técnica de los deportistas que integraban la Federación Nacional de Boxeo, la cual disfrutó su época de oro del boxeo olímpico del país, habiendo conquistado la República Dominicana numerosas medallas en juegos olímpicos panamericanos y centroamericanos.La empresa también es propietaria de un moderno estadio de baseball, sede oficial del equipo Toros del Este, que forma parte de la Liga de Baseball Profesional de la República Dominicana. El equipo es patrocinado por Central Romana con una inversión anual cerca de un millón de dólares.En la actualidad, Central Romana forma parte de los patrocinadores del programa CRESO (Creando Sueños Olímpicos), programa que se encarga de seleccionar, entrenar y financiar la participación de jóvenes deportistas en diferentes disciplinas del deporte.Sports has been yet another very important social contribution, and one in which the company has traditionally played a very important role in the Eastern region. Sports facilities have been built for the recreation of the employees in virtually all of Central’s bateyes, and basketball and baseball, among other games, are thoroughly enjoyed.Another important contribution in sports has been boxing. It would be enough to single out the fact that in the 1980’s the company assumed the task of physically and technically training all the athletes that comprised the Federación Nacional de Boxeo (Boxing National Federation), which had its golden era in Olympic boxing when the Dominican Republic conquered numerous medals in the Pan American and Central American Games.The company also owns a modern baseball stadium, the official headquarters of the Toros del Este, which is one of the teams in the Liga de Baseball Profesional of the Dominican Republic (Professional Baseball League of the Dominican Republic). The team is sponsored by Central Romana with an annual investment of about a million dollars.Currently, Central Romana is one of the supporters of the CRESO program (Creating Olimpic Dreams). This program selects, trains and finances the participation of young athletes in different sports.
